The latest five-day event aiming for both local and international watch collectors and enthusiasts is about to open in Dubai to become the largest dedicated watch event in the Gulf. The event will be sponsored by Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons, the largest luxury watch retailer in the section, and in alliance with Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG).
Happening for the very first time in Dubai, the Dubai Watch Week is said to be a trip to the innovating world of fine Swiss watches. They are planning to organise this event every year in Dubai. The event is separated into several sections. One stimulating section consists of an exhibition of independent watchmaking called Rebels of Horology. It will celebrate recent advancement by independent watchmakers including Laurent Ferrier, Bovet, Cabestan, De Bethune, H. Moser & Cie, Greubel Forsey, Hautlence, MB&F, Richard Mille, and Urwerk.
This week long event will celebrate the accomplishments in the watch industry through a cultural and educational platform which will include the workshops, GPHG Exhibition, forums and public and private events.
Guests can register to be present at a forum called Art of Horology, which includes talks with speakers and moderators formed by famous writers, watchmakers, journalists and CEOs.
The event will be a great place for the visitors to interact with some of world’s most recognized watch collectors, personalities, bloggers and brands.
